Skills / Eligibility
Applications are invited for (1) One post of Consultant Junior Medical Officer, (1) One post of Laboratory Technician, (1) One post of Data Entry Operator and (2) Two post of Field Worker in an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project titled “Safety and Tolerability of Bedaquiline and Delamanid along with Routine drugs for treatment of Paediatric DRTB (RR/ MDR/ Pre XDR/ XDR TB) in children aged 6-18 Years”. All these posts are purely on contract basis initially for upto 6 months, or until completion of project. 1. Name and No of Post: Junior Medical Officer (one post) 2. Essential Qualification : MBBS degree from a recognized university. OR BDS degree from a recognized university with Degree/Diploma in Clinical Research. 3. DesirableQualification : Experience of handling and coordinating clinical drug trials/ clinical research. 4. Emoluments : Consolidated Rs. 60,000/- per month. 1. Name and No of Post: Laboratory Technician (one post) 2. Essential Qualification : 12th pass in science subjects and two year diploma in MLT or B.Sc. degree in MLT (Preferable). 3. Desirable Qualification : Two years Lab experience from a recognized organization. *(B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience, if done after Diploma in MLT). 4. Emoluments : Consolidated Rs. 18,000/- per month. 1. Name and No of Post: Data Entry Operator (one post) 2. Essential Qualification : 12th pass in science subjects from a recognized university 3. Desirable Qualification : Experience of handling and coordinating clinical drug trials/ clinical research. 4. Emoluments : Consolidated Rs. 17,000/- per month. 1. Name and No of Post: Field Worker (two posts) 2. Essential Qualification : 12th pass in science subjects*. 3. Desirable Qualification : Two years field experience in dealing with patients under research/community setting. *(B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience). 4. Emoluments : Consolidated Rs. 18,000/- per month.

LRS TB Hospital was established by TB Association of India in 1952. The hospital was upgraded into an autonomous Institute in 1991 by Govt. of India. The Institute was renamed as LRS Institute of Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
The Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare is the President of the Institute and the Union Secretary (Health & Family Welfare) is the Chairman of the Governing Body. Director General Health Services is the Vice-Chairman and the Additional Secretary (Health) is the Alternative Vice-Chairman of the Governing Body of the Institute. The Director is the Chief Executive Officer.
Aims and objectives of the hospital are To act as an apex Institute in the country for prevention, control and treatment of Tuberculosis and Allied Diseases; To promote National Tuberculosis Control Programme in the country and to formulate strategies which are socially acceptable and economically feasible in order to assist and strengthen the program.
