About Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences
Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) was sanctioned in the year 2005 as District Hospital. College started its operations in 2006. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The college received permanent recognition in 2011. The students are selected through the common entrance test at the state level (85% of the seats) and the national level entrance test (15% of the seats).
The college is located around 90 kms from Bangalore. The campus is spread over 25 acres that includes college, 550 Bedded Teaching hospital, UG & PG Hostels and Staff Quarters (Faculty & Nursing Staff, Allied Staff).
MIMS offers following courses:
- MBBS: Pre-Clinical Courses: Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry, Para Clinical Courses: Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Clinical Courses : ENT, Ophthalmology, Community Medicine. Paediatrics, Medicine, Surgery (Including Orthopaedics) and Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
- MD Courses: Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Community Medicine, Skin & STD, Forensic Medicine
