The Institute is in search of bright, dynamic, experienced, and qualified suitable Indian Nationals to cater to the Institute’s requirements of Student Counselor. MNIT Jaipur invites applications for following post on purely contract basis:

1. Position: Student Counselor/ Psychotherapist

2. No. of Position: 01 (ONE)

3. Essential Qualification & Experience:

MA/MSc degree in Psychology with specialization in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from a recognized University or Institute, with relevant experience of 5 years after the qualifying degree in grouping counseling as well as individual counseling in an Educational Institution or Mental Health Care.

4. Desirable:

(a) Additional training in counseling technique, and or any therapeutic module. 

(b) Experience in counseling students of highly competitive residential institute of higher learning,

(c) Administrative experience in relevant counseling service set-ups,

(d) Multi Linguistic skills, 

(e) Proficiency in variety of computer applications, MS word, Excel, Power-Point or equivalent.

5. Duration of appointment: Initially for a period of 1 year, appointment may be extended further based on the performance and requirement.

6. Consolidated salary: 70,000/- per month

7. Working hours: 5 days a week as per Institute timing in the campus and he/she is supposed to be available on call at any time in case of emergency

8. Job description:

a. The counselor would render counseling service to all the students as required and be available to staff and faculty of MNIT Jaipur. The counselor would be the point of contact for students if they require interpersonal/emotional counseling.

b. He/she must be comfortable working with students from a variety of social and economic backgrounds. He/she may also be required to work during evenings or weekends. The counselor will maintain confidentiality but report to Dean, Student Affairs of any extreme cases that demand Institution/family intervention

c. The counselor may help students to develop interpersonal/emotional support system.

d. The Counselor may conduct workshops, talks and group discussions from time to time to help students with their interpersonal and emotional needs.

e The Counselor may impart career counseling to students and work with Training & Placement Cell, MNIT Jaipur. The Counselor may also carry out other relevant duties assigned by the Institute.
