Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (on contract) in research project entitled "Effect of boundary layer growth on blast wave mitigation studies inside the shock tube" funded by SERB. The duly completed application on prescribed format along with copies of supporting documents must reach to: Research & Consultancy Cell, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj-211004 on or before 20/02/2022. 1. Name of Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

2. Number of Positions: 01 (one)

3. Tenure of Appointment: The appointment will be made on contract basis for a period of Nine months initially, which may be extended up to one year subjected to release of funding from the funding agency. Further, the contract may be extended depending on the performance evaluation on yearly basis till the end of project. Project will end in December 2022.

4. Essential Qualifications: M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Fluids and thermal Engineering) or Aerospace Engineeringor B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with GATE score

5. Desirable Qualifications: Working knowledge on Computational Fluid Dynamics related computer programming. Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in the Gas Dynamics and CFD solver writing.

6. Fellowship : (31,000/- pm (Consolidated) + 16% HRA as per the Institute norms

7. Other Benefits: The candidate selected for the JRF may register for the Ph.D. program of the Institute if he/she meets the eligibility condition.Facility of yearly leave, carryover leave, medical benefits etc. may be available as per applicable rules of the project staff
