Educational Qualification: M.Sc, M.E/M.Tech
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (on contract) in a research project entitled "Development of a co-culture strategy for enhanced production of streptomycin using a hollow fiber membrane bioreactor" File No. SRG/2021/0()1561 dated 04-01-2021 sponsored by DST-Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Gov. of India, New Delhi.

3. Essential Qualifications: M. Tech/ M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Bioprocess Technology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, and any other related disciplines with GATE/NET qualified
4. Desirable Experience: Research experience in Bioprocess development with hands-on experience in bioprocess optimization and bioreactor handling is desired. Experience in analytical techniques such as UV spectroscopy, SEM, HPLC etc will be preferred.
5. Fellowship: Rs. 31,000.00 per month (Consolidated) + HRA
6 . Other Benefits: Candidate selected for the JRF may register for Ph.D. if eligibility conditions as set by institute (CPI 6.5 or 60% marks in M. Tech. and CPI 8.0 or 75% marks in M.Sc.) is met by him/her. The facility of yearly leave, medical benefits etc. may be available as per applicable rules of the project staff.
7. Tenure of Appointment: Appointment will be made on a contract basis for a period of one year initially, which may be extended depending on the performance evaluation on yearly basis till the end of the project. The project will end in January 2024.

Selection Procedure
1. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by e-mail about the interview date. So, the candidate must provide valid e-mail IDs in their applications.
2. Shortlisted candidates have to present themselves for the interview on the interview date with an updated CV and original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/ certificates in support of their academic qualifications. Due to COVID-19, the mode of the interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates via the email id provided in the application form.
3. Applicants in employment (private, government, or any other organization) are required to submit a "No Objection Certificate" from the employer at the time of interview.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
