National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) is a research organization of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. The organization is looking for Project Staff for some of its projects on a contract basis.

1. Post Name: Project Associate III

2. No of Post: 2

3. Remuneration (Rs./ Month) : 35000+HRA

4. Qualification / Experience : Essential: First class Post Graduate degree in Natural Science/ Environmental Science/ Marine Biology/ Marine Science/ Life Science, with minimum 3 years’ experience relevant to the nature of work. Desirable: PhD in relevant subject.  Experience in underwater diving, survey and sampling  Knowledge of microbiology

5. Nature of Work : Assist scientists in: Conducting Ecology Biodiversity surveys and water quality analysis in coastal and marine environment. Field surveys, sampling, microbial analysis. Data Analysis, and draft report preparation

4. Qualification / Experience : Essential: First class Post Graduate degree in Applied Microbiology/ Microbiology/ Life Science, with minimum 7 years’ experience relevant to the nature of work. Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant subject. Hands on experience in sampling, culturing, Enrichment, isolation, identification and characterization of microbes in marine/ other aquatic environment

5. Nature of Work: Assessment of diversity and distribution of microbial communities in marine and other natural environment.  Collection of data in the field, data compilation/ processing, preparation of draft report and progress reports.

5. Nature of Work : Assist scientists in: Carrying out water and sediment analysis. Field surveys, sampling, analysis, data processing and preparation of draft report

5. Nature of Work : Assist scientists in: Primary and secondary data collection. Data analysis on livelihood capitals.Analysis of social parameters including education, health and gender issues of coastal communities.Field surveys, sampling, analysis with data processing and draft report preparation

4. Qualification / Experience : Essential: First class Post Graduate degree in Geoinformatics/ Geoscience/ Environmental Science / Coastal Management / Geology/ Geography/ Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Natural Science or First class Graduate degree in Engineering/ Technology, with minimum 1 year’ experience relevant to the nature of work Desirable: Working experience in organizations/ institutions Knowledge in GIS/CAD and other office software

5. Nature of Work : Satellite image interpretation. Collection of primary/ secondary data, data processing and draft report preparation and project management

3. Remuneration (Rs./ Month) : 53000 + HRA

4. Qualification / Experience : Essential: BE/B.Tech with minimum 9 years’ experience relevant to the nature of work or Graduate degree with minimum 10 years’ experience relevant to the nature of work Desirable: Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject

5. Nature of Work : Technical support to Director Office.Maintenance, updation and back up of Digital repository of Institutional Knowledge Products. Work as a team member in the Technical team for installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of Server, Systems, Storage, Printer, and Plotter and other IT peripherals.

4. Qualification / Experience : Essential: B.E/B.Tech with minimum 2 years’ experience relevant to the nature of work or Graduate degree with minimum 3 years’ experience relevant to the nature of work or Diploma in Engineering/ Technology, with minimum 5 years’ experience relevant to the nature of work. Desirable: Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject. Knowledge in handling Windows and Linux Operating System.

5. Nature of Work: Assist technical team in: Maintaining the day to day system and network maintenance, IT peripherals repair and replacement. Configuring and maintaining of Antivirus Management Server (Threat detection, analysis and patches upgrade) Organising workshop, internal meetings and Training
