National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) is a research organization of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. The organization is looking for Project Staff for some of its projects on a contract basis.
1. Post Name: Project Associate III

3. Remuneration (Rs./ Month) : 35000+HRA

Qualification / Experience : Essential: First class Post Graduate degree in Natural Science/ Environmental Science/ Marine Biology/ Marine Science/ Life Science, with minimum 3 years’ experience relevant to the nature of work. Desirable: PhD in relevant subject. Experience in underwater diving, survey and sampling Knowledge of microbiology
5. Nature of Work : Assist scientists in: Conducting Ecology Biodiversity surveys and water quality analysis in coastal and marine environment. Field surveys, sampling, microbial analysis. Data Analysis, and draft report preparation

Selection Procedure
1. Final stage of the selection process is personal interview. Candidates who have successfully cleared the certificate verification process need to attend a personal interview.
2. Schedule and venue for the certificate verification and personal interview, which will be intimated later. Any request by the candidate or his/ her representative, to change of date/session/ centre/ venue/ mode, will not be entertained.
3. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the certificate verification, personal interview and/or for joining duty after selection. Candidates shall have to make their own arrangement for their travel & stay for attending interview and during working with NCSCM, if shortlisted. All official travels after joining NCSCM shall be governed by the rules prevailing in NCSCM.

National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) is an autonomous centre of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India, aiming to be a world-class institution for coastal and marine area management. The Centre is established within the Anna University Campus, Chennai.
Objectives -
Strive to become and remain a World Class knowledge institution pertaining to understanding coastal zones and coastal processes, and pertaining to integrated planning and management of coastal and marine areas; Promote integrated and sustainable management of the coastal and marine areas in India for the benefit and well being of the traditional coastal and island communities; Advise the Union and State Governments and other associated stakeholders on policy and scientific matters.
