National Institute of Jewellery (NIJ) was established by Delhi State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (DSIDC), to provide skilled professionals to the ever growing jewellery industry, to ensure and projected growth and demand of employment is to achieved and sustained, The National Institute of Jewellery (NIJ), has come forward to provide continuous supply of skilled human resources with the technical expertise encompassing all aspects of modern jewellery manufacturing & promote export of Gems and Jewellery in domestic and international marked.
In the recent past, Govt. of India has taken various policy decisions to provide impetus to the growth of Gem & Jewellery sector to enable India to develop a hub for this industry, thereby facilitating exports. To back this idea, Delhi State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (DSIIDC) took the initiative to promote this sector in Delhi and bring forth the unexplored essence of Indian jewellery to the world. Planting its first seed a training Institute under the name and style of National Institute of Jewellery (NIJ) was established to provide the much needed skilled professionals to the ever-growing jewellery industry.
