Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, M.E/M.Tech
1. Project title: Development of Global Vertical Soil Moisture Profile Database using SMAP Data
2. Sponsoring agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB)

6. Essential qualification:
a) B.E./ B.Tech/ or equivalent degree in _Civil/Agricultural Engineering(First class)
b) ME/M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering /Earth Science/Remote Sensing with valid GATE
7. Desired qualifications:
a) A prior knowledge of the below-mentioned skills is desirable
b) Water resources Engineering/ Stochastic Hydrology/Climate Change.
c) Statistical Methods.
Fluency in coding using MATLAB/Python/R
8. Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- pm for the first 2 years
9. HRA/ Accommodation: The selected candidate is also eligible for on-campus Hostel & Mess facilities, subject to availability
10. Job nature
a) In this project candidate need to perform
b) the Application of astatistical model to develop a global, daily, three dimensional soil moisture database using SMAP surface soil moisture data
c) Analyzing and processing of global SMAP data
d) Evaluation of the accuracy/efficiency of the developed soil moisture database.

Selection Procedure

2. Shortlisted candidates will have to attend an interview (ONLINE/OFFLINE)
