Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

Pay, Deputation (Duty) Allowance and tenure are regulated as per DoPT O.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay-II) dated 17 June 2010.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

All posts are open to serving officers of Central/State Government, UTs, autonomous or statutory bodies, PSUs, universities, or recognised research institutions. Candidates from Non-Government Organisations are eligible only for Short Term Contract.

• Director (Projects) (1 post): Holding analogous post on regular basis, or 5 years' regular service in Level-12; Bachelor's degree from a recognised University. Preference for direct experience in Ministry/Department of Mines/Minerals/Geology.
• Joint Director (Monitoring & Coordination) (1 post): Holding analogous post on regular basis, or 5 years' regular service in Level-11; Bachelor's degree in Geosciences/Earth Sciences/Geophysics from a recognised University.
• Senior Geologist / Senior Geophysicist (1 post): Holding analogous post on regular basis, or 5 years' regular service in Level-10; Master's degree in Geosciences/Earth Sciences/Geophysics. Desirable: minimum 3 years' experience in mineral exploration activities in Level-10 or equivalent.
• Director (Finance & Accounts) (1 post): Holding analogous post on regular basis, or 5 years' regular service in Level-12; Bachelor's degree; minimum 5 years' experience in finance, accounts and budgeting. Desirable: Master's in Commerce/MBA (Finance)/CA/ICWA.
• Assistant Director (Finance & Accounts) (1 post): Holding analogous post on regular basis, or 2 years' regular service in Level-9; MBA (Finance)/Bachelor's degree in Commerce; minimum 2 years' experience in Finance and Accounts.
• Accountant (1 post): Holding analogous post on regular basis, or 6 years' regular service in Level-5; Degree in Commerce/BBA (Finance); minimum 2 years' experience in accounts handling.
• Assistant (1 post): Holding analogous post on regular basis, or 6 years' regular service in Level-5; Degree from a recognised university; minimum 2 years' experience in Establishment/Administration work.

Note: Qualifications are relaxable by the Search cum Selection Committee for posts 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

Selection will be based on assessment of information provided in the CV and supporting documents on essential qualification and work experience by the Selection Committee at the time of selection. No written examination or interview panel is specified separately; the Committee reviews submitted dossiers directly.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending any stage of the selection process.

4. Enclose APARs for the preceding 5 years, Integrity Certificate, Vigilance Clearance Certificate, No-Penalty Certificate (last 10 years), educational qualification and experience certificates from parent organisation, and NOC from Cadre Controlling Authority.
5. The application must reach NMEDT within 30 days from the publication date of the circular (by 4 December 2026).
6. Advance copies may be sent directly within 20 days of publication, provided the complete application through proper channel reaches within 30 days.

Pay and Terms of Engagement

These posts are on Deputation including Short Term Contract (ISTC). This is a temporary arrangement and does not confer permanent government job security or lifetime pension from NMEDT.
