PHED Mizoram Recruitment 2026: Vacancy, Eligibility & Selection Process

The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Mizoram is the principal state government agency responsible for the development, distribution, and maintenance of safe drinking water supply, as well as sanitation infrastructure across both urban and rural areas of Mizoram.

Prior to becoming an independent entity, the public health engineering activities in the region operated under the Public Works Department (PWD). In August 1983, PHED Mizoram was established as a full-fledged, autonomous department to accelerate the expansion of water and sanitation infrastructure across the state. The administrative office is headquartered in Aizawl, headed by an Engineer-in-Chief alongside functional circles, working divisions, and sub-divisions spread throughout Mizoram's districts.
