Podar institution is a place for every patients with diseases seeking Ayurveda medicines over the globe. The Institution started in the year 1994, which today includes Ayurveda College, Ayurveda Hospital and the Institute of Contemporary Ayurved Research and Education in Ayurveda. Almost each year about 60 student get an opportunity to learn "Ayurved - the science of life" in this renowned college, which also includes Postgraduates courses in Ayurved which are awarded to Doctor of Medicine in Ayurveda. Every year 20-25 students study postgraduates in different fields like Kayachikitsa, Shalya, Shalakya. Affiliation is done to Mumbai university for postgraduates courses and for undergraduates courses affiliation is done with MUHS.

The institute is located in the Worli area, with the land of 6 acres. The greenery environment gives you the view of old english structure to the college. The campus includes of college building, library building, hospital building, and research wing. The campus has 210 beds for in house department, Out Department of patient pays attention to 400 patients on daily basis.
