For the genome sequencing facility at the Department of Genetics and Genomics being established at RIMS, the Director of the institute invites application for the following posts:

4. Medical candidates: Qualification:

A medical qualification included in the I or II scheciule or part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) ofthe Act).

ii. A post graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

5. Experience:

Six years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto in genetics or related field with proven expertise in handling Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and other platforms for genome sequencing (both wet lab and bioinformatics analysis).

6. Non-Medical Candidates: Qualification:

Masters Degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology or related subject. A doctorate degree (PhD) of recognized university

7. Experience:

Six years teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the doctorate degree in genetics or related field with proven expertise in handling Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and other platforms for genome sequencing (both wet lab and bioinformatics analysis).
