Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) sponsored project entitled "Design and Implementation of Low Complexity Wavelet Encoder using Approximate Computations for wireless visual sensor network applications" at Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology, Jyoti Vihar, Sambalpur University, Burla, Odisha

i. The position is purely temporary and is available immediately.

ii. The candidate may be allowed to register for Ph.D. in the university provided he/she qualifies the NMIMS University Ph.D. entrance exam 2021.

2. Essential qualifications: M.E. / M. Tech in ECE/EEE/ M.Sc Electronics (or equivalent).

3. Desirable: 

Good knowledge of MATLAB programming. Experience on VHDL coding, familiar with Synopsys EDA Tools, FPGA and Vivado Tools is highly desirable. Fundamental concepts of signal processing algorithms will be an added advantage.

4. Fellowship: Rs. 31000 pm (fixed). No HRA will be provided. However, On-campus accommodation may be provided subject to the availability, as per rule

5. Duration of Project: 03 years

6. Title of the Project: Design and Implementation of Low Complexity Wavelet Encoder using Approximate Computations for wireless visual sensor network applications.

7. Project Description: The project aims to develop low-complexity hardware design of lifting based multi-level forward and inverse Discrete Wavelet Transform using approximate computation for ASIC and FPGA implementation.
