1. Name of the Post: Project Assistant 

2. No. of Position: One

3. Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/related field, with minimum 70% marks or equivalent grade.

4. Desirable Qualifications:

i) Strong work ethic, motivation for a career in research, communication and inter-personal skills, is expected.

ii) Practical knowledge of basic molecular biology techniques such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, western blotting etc. are preferred.

iii) Prior experience of working with mouse models/animal handling is desirable.

iv) Basic computational skills such as accessing and searching biological databases, working knowledge of MS Office applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point is needed.

5. Fellowship: Rs. 16,000/- (Consolidated) per month.

6. Title of Project: Studying Met signaling during mammalian skeletal muscle development, regeneration and disease.

7. Duration: Initially for 6 months contingent to satisfactory performance during this period, extendable further for the duration of the project based on evaluation of performance.
