Educational Qualification: DNB, MS/MD
Applications are invited for the vacant post of Short-Term Senior Resident (Non-DM) in the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology for a short-term appointment for a period of 89 days or till new joining of DM students whichever is earlier. The details are as under:
1. Post Name: Short Term Senior Resident
2. Department: Pediatric Gastroenterology
3. No. of Posts: Two (02) SC-1 UR-1
4. Qualification: MD/DNB Pediatrics
5. No. of posts may be increased or decreased
6. Pay & Allowance: Level-11 of pay matrix with entry pay of Rs. 67700 plus allowances as per Institute rules.

How to Apply:
1. Interested candidates are required to appear for a walk-in-interview on 08-12-2021 at 10:00 AM in the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology.
2. The candidates must bring following documents for submission. Candidates who have already completed 3 years Senior Residency will not be considered for appointment.
a. A bank draft of Rs.200/- (Two hundred only) in favour of "Director, SGPGI, Academic Account" payable at SBI, SGPGI Branch, Lucknow.
b. One recent passport size photograph.
c. Xerox copies of all relevant certificates and testimonial.
3. Candidates should fill the prescribed form available with the Academic Section, SGPGI, Lucknow before the interview.
4. Venue: Pediatric Gastroenterology department.
5. Date: 08.12.2021
6. Time: 10.00 AM
7. No TA/DA will be given for attending interview.

The foundation stone of the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences was laid on December 14, 1980 in the present King Georges Medical University campus by the then President of India His Excellency, Shri Neelam Sanjiva Reddy. The State Government aimed to create a state-of-the-art quality medical education, training, medicalcare and cutting-edge research institution with the motto, "Hospitals with a long tradition of excellence have demonstrated abundantly that research enhances the vitality of teaching, teaching lifts the standards ofservice and service opens new avenues of investigation"
Over the years, looking into the needs of patients, the departments of Critical Care Medicine, Hematology, Pediatric Gastroenterology, and Pediatric Surgical subspecialty were started. Under the scheme of Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Sewa Yojna, the departments of Plastic Surgery, Maternal & Reproductive Health, Pulmonary Medicine, Molecular Medicine & Biotechnology, Opthalmology and Neonatology were developed.
