Eligibility Criteria for UPSSSC Livestock Extension Officer Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification
Intermediate (10+2) with Biology from a recognized board (Uttar Pradesh Board or equivalent).
2-year Diploma in Livestock Extension from a recognized veterinary university/college.
Working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.
Preferential Qualification
Minimum 2 years of service in the Territorial Army, OR
‘B’ Certificate from NCC, OR
15 years of active service as Veterinary Dresser Grade-I/II in Remount Veterinary Corps with High School in Science/Agriculture.
Age Limit
21 to 40 years as of 1st July of the vacancy year. Age relaxation applicable as per UP Government norms.

Selection Process – UPSSSC Livestock Extension Officer 2026
Selection is based on a Written (Main) Examination. Shortlisting for the Main Exam is done using the normalized score of PET-2025 (Preliminary Eligibility Test). Only candidates who appeared in PET-2025 and have a valid score are eligible. The Main Exam consists of 100 objective-type questions (100 marks) across three parts: Subject Knowledge (65 marks), Computer & IT (15 marks), and General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh (20 marks). Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-5 of the 7th Pay Commission with a monthly salary range of Rs. 29,200 – Rs. 92,300 plus allowances as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules.
