Sub: Advertising for filling up of two posts of 'Senior Scientific Officer' in the SVP National Police Academy, Hyderabad on deputation for a period of one year - Regarding.

i. Nominations are invited for two posts of 'Senior Scientific Officer' in the Pay Band-3 (Rs.15600-39100/-) plus Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- (Revised) Level-10 Rs. 56100-177500/-. The posts are to be filled by deputation for a period of one year.

5. Method of Recruitment: By Deputation (including short —term contract)

6. Eligibility:

Officers under the Central/State Forensic Laboratories:

(a) Holding analogous in the Level-10 posts Rs. 56100-177500/- (Revised) pay Band-3 Rs. 15600-39100/- and Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-(Pre- Revised).

(b) With two years regular service in post in the level-8 Rs. Pay Band-2, 9300-34800 and Grade pay of Rs. 4800/- (Pre-Revised)

(c) Possessing the educational qualifications and experience

(A) Essential qualification-

(i)Masters Degree in Forensic Science/ Physics/ChemistryTToxicology/Zoology Botany Bio- Chemistry/ Biology /Microbiology/ Forensic DNA & Serology from a recognized University.

(ii)Minimum five years teaching experience in recognized Academic institution/ training institution/ Academy.

(iii)Working knowledge of computers.

B. Desirable

(i)Ph.D in the relevant subject mentioned. (ii)Minimum three years working experience in Forensic Science Laboratory/State Forensic Laboratory/Police training College/Forensic department in any recognized University. Central Science Science

7. Nature of duty

i. Taking theory & practical classes in Forensic Science, Forensic Toxicology and forensic Medicine for IPS probationers. HoIding demonstration classes of various techniques used in Forensic Science. Planning and conducting Simulation Exercises. (4)Supervise the simulated exercises in the crime scene hall.

ii. Ensuring proper record and maintenance of various equipments procured for the Forensic Science Wing.Ensure proper maintenance of the crime museum in the Academy.
