Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation (SRDC), was incorporated with the objective to promote conservation of built and natural heritage in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, The heritage of NCT is to be protected, nourished and maintained by including architecturally work, historical landmark and living monuments having socio cultural value not with the motive of profit.

The SRDC took important steps to improve civic service as water supply, sewerage, electricity supply and public transport in National Capital Territory of Delhi.

The corporation conducting activities to protect and improve environmental assets of the city such as the Riverfront, Ancient City Walls, Gates, Bridges, Vistas, Public Place, Edicts and Rock cut formation and take possible sources such as the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).
