Thalassery District Court Recruitment 2026: Vacancy, Eligibility & Selection Process

The judicial courts serving as the headquarters for Kannur district operate from a complex of buildings situated near the Thalassery-Kannur National Highway, just one kilometer from Thalassery town and facing the Arabian Sea. The building currently housing the Principal District Judge's court once served as a warehouse for the British East India Company.

The Thalassery court complex houses fourteen courts, including the District Court, Additional District Courts, Fast Track Courts, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Family Court, Principal Sub-Court, Additional Sub-Court, Munsiff Court, Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, and First Class Magistrate Court.

The complex also accommodates the Record Room—which holds the history of the judicial system—as well as the Nazir Office (responsible for executing court orders, a crucial link in the administration of justice), the offices of Government Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors, the Bar Association office, a rest room, and a library.
