Indian Army Directorate General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (DG EME) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 03 Lower Division Clerk, Cook, and MER posts. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

• Essential: (i) Passed in 12th class from a recognized Board or University. (ii) Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English on computer or a typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer (35 words per minute and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500/ 9000 key depressions per hour (KDPH) on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).

Eligibility for Cook

• Essential: (i) Matriculation Pass or equivalent. (ii) Must have knowledge of Indian Cooking and proficiency in trade.

Eligibility for MER

• Essential: (i) Pass in 10+2 with certificate from recognized ITI in Fitter Trade or grade; or Armed Forces Personnel or Ex-serviceman from the appropriate trade and minimum at grade 1.
• Desirable: National Council for Training in the Vocational Trades certificate from Directorate General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

Age Limit

• 18 to 25 Years (as on 09-01-2026).

Selection Process

Written test will be conducted for all Trades. The selection committee has discretion to fix minimum qualifying marks in any or all parts of papers. Skill test and Physical test (wherever applicable) will be conducted for candidates who pass the written test and come in merit. Skill test and Physical test (wherever applicable) will be qualifying in nature.

How to Apply

1. Candidate forward application duly typed in A4 size paper as per prescribed format given in the Advertisement.
2. Attach a self-addressed envelope (size- 10.5 cm x 23 cm) with postal stamp of Rs. 5/- properly sealed.
3. Send through ORDINARY POST to the address mentioned against the post applied for.
4. Superscribe the words "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ......................." on the top of application form.
5. Last date for receipt of application is 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News (28 days for far flung areas).
