Note: *In the absence of eligible ST candidates, OBC candidates will be considered; in the absence of OBC candidates, UR will be considered.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Project Assistant

• Essential: 3 years Diploma in Engineering / Technology in Biomedical / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Experience, wherever prescribed, must be gained after acquiring the prescribed essential qualification.
• Desirable: Product design, manufacturing, prototyping, 3D printing, machining, instrumentation, test systems, automation, calibration, quality system documentation, R&D / industrial / academic experience.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 50 years for the Project Assistant post as on 01 January 2026.

Salary / Stipend

• Monthly emoluments of Rs. 20,000/- plus 18% HRA for the Project Assistant post.

Selection Process

Applications will be screened and eligible candidates will be called for an interview at the Biomedical Technology Wing, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram. Depending on the number of candidates, a qualifying written test may be conducted for initial screening. Marks obtained in the written test, if conducted, will not be counted for final ranking. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test or interview.
