Educational Qualification: M.Phil/Ph.D
Online applications are invited from bonafide citizens of India for selection of candidates for recruitment to 04 vacancy (UR-02, SC-OI & ST-OI) post of Principal, Diploma Level Technical Institution in Tripura, Group-A (Gazetted), under the:
1. Position : Principal
2. Essential Qualifications:
a) Ph.D and First Class at either Bachelor's or Master's level in the relevant discipline with minimum of 16 years of experience in Teaching / Research/ Industry, out of which at least 3 years shall be post Ph.D experience and 5 years of experience not below the level of HOD. OR
b) First Class at Bachelor's or Master's level in the relevant discipline and minimum of 20 years of experience in Teaching/ Research/ Industry, out of which 5 years of experience not below the level of HOD. OR
c) As amended from time to time by AICTE.
3. Desirable: Knowledge in Bengali or Kokborok. (i) This position shall be of tenure in nature for 5 years and can be extended for one term depending upon the performance. (ii) Performanc assessment shall be carried out through a committee appointed by the Department. After completing the final term, the incumbent shall join back his/her parent organization in the substantive grade, subject to revision by the Govt. from time to time.
4. Scale of Pay : Department, Government of Tripura in the scale of Pay 1,31,400/- (Rs. 1,31,400/- to 2,04,700/-) in the Academic Level-13 A1 of the Pay matrix of AICTE Regulations, 2019 subject to revision by the Govt. from time to time.

Selection Procedure
a) Total marks allotted for Selection process; 100 marks (85% weightage from API score as per AICTE Regulations, 2019 & 15% marks for interview).
b) The Selection process will comprise of 02 (two) successive stages viz-i) Short listing of candidates (for Interview/PersonaIity test) at ratio 1:3 ratio (three candidates against one vacancy) on the basis of API score as per AICTE Regulations, 2019 ii) Interview/PersonaIity test.
c) It is also mentioned here that candidate(s) scoring API marks equal to that of the last qualified candidate shall also be called for interview.
d) The final selection will be made in order of merit on the basis of the 85% marks obtained by a candidate as of the AICTE Regulations, 2019 and by adding the marks obtained in the Interview process (out of 15). If a candidate remains absent in the interview process, his/her candidature will not be considered for final merit list.
e) In the list of recommendation, merit position of candidates securing equal marks will be finalized as per their seniority of age. The same procedure is to be followed for preparing waiting list, if there be any.

How to Apply:
1. The last date of submission of online application is 18.06.2022 (upto 5.30 PM). The application (s) received after the closing date will not be entertained.
2. Online Portal will be available on Commission's website from 18.06.2022 (5.30 PM). Before applying for the post, an applicant shall register his/her bio- data particulars through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the Commission's Website viz. tpsc.tripura.gov.in. Once applicant registers his/her particulars, a User ID is generated and sent to his/her registered mobile number and email ID. Applicants need to apply for the post using the OTPR User ID through the Commission's website.

About Tripura Public Service Commission
The provision for constitution of Public Service Commission was first incorporated under Article 96C of the Government of India Act,1919. Thereafter in 1923 ‘Lee Commission’ was constituted for the purpose of formulating the principles/terms and conditions of Public Service Commission. Subsequently, as per recommendations of the ‘Lee Commission’ Federal Public Service Commission was established in India for the first time, on 1st October, 1926. Lee Commission also recommended for establishment of Provincial Public Service Commission its statehood on 21st January,1972 and Tripura Public Service Commission was established on 30th October, 1972, under the provisions of Article 315 of the Constitution of India. Sri G.P.Bagchi was the first Chairman and Sri I. K. Roy was the first Member of the Tripura Public Service Commission. The Commission is, at present, located at the old Assembly House of Tripura, at Akhaura Road, Agartala
