Applications are invited for the temporary post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under MoES project (1BSIP, Lucknow, SPPU and IUAC, New Delhi) sanctioned to collaborating Pl Dr. Rajani Panchang (Assistant Professor) Department of Environmental Science, SPPU, Pune 1. Project Title: "Reconstruction of Holocene vegetation climate and sea-level tluctuation from the Mahanadi 2. Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 3. Number of Post: 01(One) 4. Fellowship /Salary: Rs. 25,000/- (pre-reviscd) per month 5. Candidates must have the following a. Essential Qualifications M.Sc. in Marine Science/ Occanography/ Geology/ Environmental Science / any relevant stream of Earth Science with minimum 55% marks from a recognised university (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever grading system is followed). Must have cleared National Eligibility Tests CSIR/UGC - NET or NET Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and / or a valid GATE score. OR Should have cleared National Level examinations/ Fellowships conducted by Central Govemment Departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, ISER, DST INSPIRE, Etc. 6. Desirable: Demonstrable experience in foraminiferal / micropalacontological/ palacoclimatic studies in the form of M.Sc. research / thesis work / internship

Candidates will be shortlisted after rigorous screening and will be called for interview at the Department of Environmental Science, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune (Circumstantially interviews could be held online).
