Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Eligibility:Graduate degree in specified disciplines from a recognized Board/University. Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in the last five years (2022-2026). Only regular candidates are eligible. Candidates with higher qualifications or those who have already undergone/are undergoing apprenticeship training or have one year or more of job experience after qualifying are NOT eligible.
Age Limit:Minimum 18 years. Maximum age and relaxation as per the Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprentice Rules, 1992, and NATS 2.0 Guidelines.
Stipend: ₹15,000 per month for all Graduate Apprentice disciplines.
Selection Procedure:
- Shortlisting based on academic merit, written test, interview, walk-in interview, or a combination, subject to document verification.
- Document Verification of original certificates.
Application Fee: No application fee is mentioned.
📝 How to Apply Step-by-Step
Candidates must first register on the NATS 2.0 portal and then apply offline. Only offline applications are accepted.
- NATS 2.0 Registration: Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) 2.0 portal.
- Download Application Form: Download the application form from the DRDO website: https://drdo.gov.in/drdo/en/offerings/vacancies.
- Fill the Application Form: Fill the form in capital letters. Mention marks in percentage. For CGPA, convert to percentage as per university norms.
- Prepare Application: Assemble the following:
- Duly filled and signed application form with a recent passport-size photograph affixed.
- Signed copy of the NATS 2.0 profile.
- Self-attested photocopies of all required certificates (10th onwards) and documents.

Key Instructions for Candidates
- NATS Registration is Mandatory: Candidates must register on the NATS 2.0 portal before applying offline.
- Offline Application Only: Only offline applications sent by post will be accepted. Online applications will not be considered.
- Eligibility Check: Ensure you meet all eligibility criteria (qualification, passing year 2022-2026, regular course, no prior apprenticeship/1+ year job experience).
- Passing Year: Only candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in the last five years (2022-2026) are eligible. Those awaiting results are not eligible.
- Percentage/CGPA: Mention marks in percentage. For CGPA, convert as per university norms (for verification).
- Documents for Verification: Bring originals and one set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates (10th to the qualifying degree, NATS profile, Aadhaar, photo ID, address proof, caste/PwBD certificates if applicable) at the time of document verification.
- No TA/DA: No travelling or other allowances will be provided at any stage of the selection process or during training.
- No Employment Guarantee: This is a one-year apprenticeship training. No employment is offered at HEMRL/DRDO after completion, and candidates cannot claim the same.
- Deadline: Ensure the application reaches HEMRL by 28 August 2026. Late applications will be rejected.
