The West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited (WBPDCL), a Government of West Bengal Enterprise, engaged in the business of Generation of Electricity in the State of West Bengal, intends to engage Medical Officer & Staff Nurse through Walk-In Interview for its Power Stations / Projects located at different places across West Bengal.

2. Basic Pay Rs. 29,000/- in Pay Matrix (PB – 2 Level 4)

3. Vacancy: 19 nos

4. Minimum Essential Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent in any stream with Degree / Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from any institute recognized by the State Nursing Council and having registration with authorized Nursing Council.

Selection Procedure

1. Medical Officer: Personal Interview (100 marks).

2. Staff Nurse:

i. Higher Secondary or equivalent in any stream with Degree / Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from any institute recognized by the State Nursing Council and having registration with authorized Nursing Council.: 40 marks

ii. Addl. Marks – 2 for marks 51 to 55 & so on: 20 Marks

iii. Marks obtained for Working Experience after passing out of concerned course [6 months to 1 year – 10 marks | >1 to 1½ years - 15 marks | 1½ to 2 years – 20 marks & > 2years – 25 marks.

iv. Personal Interview: 15 marks

1. Walk-in Interviews shall be held on 10.12.2021 (Friday) from 10.30 A.M. to 02.00 P.M. at the Bidyut Unnayan Bhavan, Block- LA, Plot No.-3/C, Sector-III, Bidhannagar, Kolkata-700 106.

2. Candidates are requested to come with filled in with two recent passport size photographs, self-attested copies of Class X / Matriculation Certificate (Proof of age), educational certificates, mark sheet of MBBS Degree, Registration Certificate issued by Medical Council of India / State Medical Council / West Bengal Nursing Council and other relevant certificates alongwith original testimonials

3. Any or all corrigendum / amendments related to this recruitment process shall be given at the WBPDCL website (www.wbpdcl.co.in) only.

West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited (WBPDCL) is a company owned by the Government of West Bengal with the goal to carry on interalia the business of electric power generation and supply in the state of West Bengal, India. The thermal power plants under WBPDCL are in Kolaghat, Bakreswar, Sagardighi, Santaldih,and Bandel. The registered & Corporate Office of The West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited has been functioning from its own office bulding at Plot– 3/C, LA-Block, Sector-III, SaltLake City, Kolkata-700 106 on and from 27th October, 2008 (Monday) after shifting the office from New Secretariate Buildings. WBPDCL Formed in July, 1985 with only one generating unit at Kolaghat having turnover of Rs.64 Crore paced up further to Rs.2728 Crores in 2007-08 with 20 units at Kolaghat,Bandel, Bakreswar, Santaldih and Sagardighi. Kolaghat Thermal Power Station involves a total installed capacity of 1260 MW. Installed capacity of Kolaghat Thermal Power Station is 1260 MW., Bakreshwar Thermal Power Station is 1050MW , Sagardighi Thermal Power Project is 1600MW, Bandel Thermal Power Station is 330 MW and Santaldih Thermal Power Station is 500 MW. WBPDCL works in tandem with West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) and Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC).
