Route (a) – Direct Contractual Appointment

• Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in a science relating to the environment, or Bachelor's Degree in engineering in a discipline relating to the environment, from a recognized university or institute. OR Doctorate degree in environmental management from a recognized University or Institution along with an excellent record of peer-reviewed research publications.
• Special Knowledge & Experience: Special knowledge and ten years of practical experience relating to environment protection — including industrial pollution mitigation, water treatment, or air pollution control devices — and has rendered twenty years of service.

Route (b) – Deputation / Officers of Government or PSU

• Officer under the State Government, Public Sector Undertaking, University, Autonomous Body, or Statutory Body holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
• Possessing three years of regular service rendered after appointment on a regular basis in Level-13 of the Pay Band matrix (or equivalent) in the parent cadre or department.
• Possessing experience specified under clause (a) above.

Age Limit

The age limit for appointment shall not exceed 56 years as on the last date for receipt of applications (23 October 2026). This limit applies to both contract appointment and appointment by way of deputation.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. The selection process involves nomination by the Selection Committee on contract basis or deputation basis.
2. No written examination or screening test has been notified.
