Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification

• Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science; OR
• Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
  • Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests: CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship / Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
  • Selection through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc., with two years of research experience.

Desired Experience / Preferred Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics, Oceanography, or Atmospheric Science with valid NET or GATE score and at least two years of research experience.
• OR B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture, or Aerospace Engineering with valid GATE Score and at least two years of research experience.
• OR M.Tech. in Physics, Mathematics, Climate Sciences, Oceanography, Atmospheric Science, Ocean Engineering, Earth System Science and Technology, or Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture.
• Candidates having numerical modelling and/or programming experience are preferred.
