Is there any relaxation in physical standards for candidates from hilly or North Eastern regions?

Yes, relaxation in physical standards is provided for candidates belonging to specific regions as per Government of India rules.

- Height relaxation of 2 cm for candidates from:
- North Eastern States
- Sikkim
- Jammu & Kashmir (for ST candidates)
- Gorkhas of Nepal
- Garhwalis, Kumaonis, and Himachalis
- Additional relaxation may apply for ST candidates of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep

Such candidates must produce a domicile certificate or certificate from the competent authority confirming their origin. Relaxations are applied only in height, not in chest or weight, and must be verified during PST.
