What is the selection process for UP Police Sub Inspector?

The selection process for UP Police SI consists of four stages conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB).

- Written Examination: Objective-type, 400 marks; includes General Hindi, Law/Constitution, General Knowledge, Numerical & Mental Ability, and Mental Aptitude
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Height, chest (for males), and weight verification as per category and gender
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 4.8 km run in 28 minutes (males); 2.4 km run in 16 minutes (females)
- Document Verification and Medical Examination

There is no interview. Final selection is based on written exam merit, subject to qualifying PMT, PET, and medical standards.
