Candidates must meet stringent medical standards as per the Ministry of Home Affairs’ guidelines for CAPFs. The medical examination includes physical, visual, and laboratory tests.

- Vision: Distant vision – 6/6 or 6/9 in one eye and 6/12 or 6/9 in the other (corrected); no color or night blindness
- Hearing: Normal auditory perception
- Dental: Minimum 14 dental points
- No varicose veins, flat feet, knock knees, or chronic diseases
- BMI must be within normal range

Candidates are examined by a Medical Officer in authorized hospitals. Temporary rejection may be given for minor issues with a review after treatment. Final fitness is mandatory for selection.
