What are the medical standards for UP Police Sub Inspector?

Candidates must be medically fit as per the standards set by the Uttar Pradesh Police Medical Board.

- Vision: Distant vision – 6/6 or 6/9 in one eye and 6/12 in the other (corrected); no color blindness
- Hearing: Normal auditory acuity
- No chronic diseases, deformities, or disabilities affecting operational duties
- BMI must be within the normal range
- Candidates must not have flat feet, knock knees, or varicose veins

Medical examination includes urine, blood, ECG, and physical inspection. Temporary rejection may be given for treatable conditions, with a review after recovery. Final medical fitness is mandatory for appointment.
