What are the physical standards for BSF Constable (GD)?

BSF Constable (GD) recruitment mandates strict physical standards, which differ by gender and category. Measurements are taken during the Physical Standards Test (PST).

For Male Candidates (General):
- Height: 170 cm (SC/ST: 162.5 cm; ST (A&N Islands, Nicobarese): 165 cm)
- Chest: 80 cm (unexpanded), with minimum 5 cm expansion
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age

For Female Candidates (General):
- Height: 157 cm (SC/ST: 150 cm; ST (A&N Islands, Nicobarese): 155 cm)
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age

Chest measurement is not applicable for female candidates. Certain relaxations (2 cm in height) may apply to candidates from specific regions (e.g., North East, Gorkhas).
