Job Opportunities at CAFRI

CAFRI has announced the following job openings for the recruitment of young and dynamic professionals.

Research Associate

Research Associates will be responsible for conducting research on various aspects of agroforestry, developing technologies and practices, and disseminating them to farmers, policymakers, and other stakeholders. The job requires a Ph.D. degree in forestry/agriculture/life sciences or equivalent with at least two years of research experience.

Senior Research Fellow

Senior Research Fellows will work under the supervision of Research Associates and will be responsible for data collection, analysis, and interpretation, preparing research reports, and disseminating research findings. The job requires a Master’s degree in forestry/agriculture/life sciences with at least two years of research experience.

Junior Research Fellow

Junior Research Fellows will work under the supervision of Research Associates and Senior Research Fellows and will be responsible for data collection, analysis, and interpretation, assisting in research activities, and preparing research reports. The job requires a Bachelor’s degree in forestry/agriculture/life sciences.

Project Assistant

Project Assistants will be responsible for assisting in research activities, data collection, analysis, and interpretation, and maintaining laboratory and field equipment. The job requires a Bachelor’s degree in forestry/agriculture/life sciences.

Field Assistant

Field Assistants will be responsible for conducting field surveys, collecting plant and soil samples, assisting in tree planting and nursery management, and maintaining experimental fields. The job requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Eligibility Criteria

ICAR-Central Agroforestry Research Institute (ICAR-CAFRI), formerly the National Research Centre for Agroforestry, is a multidisciplinary premier research institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) with a major focus on integrating trees, crops and livestock on the same farmland.
