Detailed Educational Qualifications by Cadre
1. Engineering Officer Grade-I
- Mandatory Degree: First Class Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology (B.E. / B.Tech) with a minimum of 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA on a 10-point scale from a recognized Indian University or AICTE-approved institution.
- Eligible Disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- GATE Requirement: Candidates must possess a valid GATE Scorecard in the corresponding engineering stream. In certain recruitment sessions, CPRI may additionally conduct its own Computer Based Test (CBT).
2. Scientific Assistant
- Degree: First Class B.Sc degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
- Experience: Relevant laboratory experience in analytical chemical testing, oil insulation testing, or spectroscopic analysis is advantageous.
3. Engineering Assistant
- Diploma: First Class 3-year State Board Diploma in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil) with minimum 65% aggregate marks.
- Skills: Working familiarity with high-voltage testing bays, instrumentation calibration, and switchgear operation.
4. Technician Grade-I
- Education: 10th Standard (Matriculation) pass from a recognized board.
- Vocational Certificate: Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate / National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Electrician, Wireman, or Machinist trade.
5. Assistant Grade-II
- Graduation: First Class Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Arts, or Science from a recognized University.
- Computer & Typing Skills: Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in English on computer keyboards and certified proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Age Limit & Category-Wise Relaxations
The cut-off date for computing age limits is calculated as of the application closing deadline specified in each notification.
