Allowances & Benefits Breakdown
Beyond the core Basic Pay, CPRI employees receive a suite of Central Government allowances:
- Dearness Allowance (DA): Adjusted semi-annually per the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI), currently exceeding 50% of Basic Pay.
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): Classified per posting city. Headquarters in Bengaluru is classified as an X-Class City, providing 30% HRA on Basic Pay. Other regional centers (Bhopal, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Kolkata) receive 20% (Y-Class) or 10% (Z-Class).
- Transport Allowance (TA): Level 10 officers receive ₹7,200 + DA on TA in X-Class cities, while Level 6 assistants receive ₹3,600 + DA on TA.
- Comprehensive Medical Coverage: Full medical health coverage for self and registered dependents through CPRI empaneled multi-specialty hospitals.
- Children Education Allowance (CEA): ₹2,250/month per child for up to two schooling children, along with annual hostel subsidy if applicable.
