Selection Architecture & Evaluation Stages
Recruitment at DIAT Pune is stratified according to post cadres and responsibilities:
- Faculty & Scientist Posts (Academic Levels 10 to 14): Two-tier evaluation comprising rigorous scrutiny of academic achievements/publications, a specialized technical presentation on proposed defence research, and a personal interview before the Board of Selection.
- Technical & Administrative Posts: Two-phase selection comprising an objective Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by practical trade tests and document scrutiny.
- Junior & Senior Research Fellows (JRF/SRF): Evaluation of valid GATE/NET score percentiles followed by a subject viva-voce.
