Age Limits & Government Statutory Relaxations
Age calculations are determined relative to the closing date of the respective employment advertisement:
- Executive Posts (E-1 to E-5): 30 years for E-1, 35 years for E-2, 40 years for E-3, and 45 to 50 years for AGM cadres.
- Supervisory & Ministerial Posts: Upper age limit is generally 30 to 35 years for unreserved candidates.
- Workmen & Apprentices: 18 to 28 years for workmen, and 18 to 25 years for apprentice batches.
Statutory Upper Age Concessions:
- Scheduled Castes (SC) & Scheduled Tribes (ST): 5 Years upper age relaxation.
- Other Backward Classes (OBC - Non Creamy Layer): 3 Years upper age relaxation (valid central OBC certificate required).
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 Years (relaxable up to 15 years for SC/ST PwBD and 13 years for OBC PwBD).
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India defense personnel resettlement guidelines.
