Mandatory Domicile & Education Rule for Uttarakhand Group C
To preserve state employment opportunities, the Government of Uttarakhand enforces strict domicile conditions under the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission Rules:
An applicant must satisfy at least one of the following two benchmarks:
1. Permanent Domicile (Mool Niwas): Possess a valid Uttarakhand Permanent Resident Certificate / Domicile issued by an authorized Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) or Tehsildar.
2. State Schooling Exemption: Candidates without permanent domicile must have completed both High School (Class 10th) and Intermediate (Class 12th) from an educational institution recognized by the Uttarakhand State Board, CBSE, or ICSE physically situated within the territory of Uttarakhand.
Note: Non-domicile candidates who did not pass both 10th and 12th in Uttarakhand are NOT eligible for UKSSSC Group C recruitments.

Age Limits & Statutory Reservation Relaxations
Age limits are calculated as of the benchmark date stipulated in the notification (typically 1st July of the recruitment year):
- Standard Age Bracket:
- Intermediate Cadres (Junior Assistant, Scaler, Forest Guard): 18 to 42 Years.
- Graduate & Executive Cadres (VDO, VPDO, Patwari, Lekhpal): 21 to 42 Years.
- Upper Age Relaxations (Only for Uttarakhand Domicile):
