About AIIMS Nagpur and the SMRITI Project
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur, located at Plot no. 2, Sector-20, MIHAN, Nagpur – 441108, invites applications for one project-based post under the ICMR-funded SMRITI trial. The SMRITI project is a Stratified Multicentre Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) evaluating the efficacy of Propofol Total Intravenous Anaesthesia (TIVA) versus Isoflurane for the prevention of postoperative delirium in geriatric surgery. The Principal Investigator for this project is Dr. Omshubham Gangadhar Asai, Associate Professor, Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, AIIMS Nagpur.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree (including integrated PG) in a relevant subject (e.g., Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Clinical Research, or Public Health) from a recognized university OR a four-year graduate degree in Engineering / IT / Computer Science relevant to the project.
- Desirable Experience: 1-2 years of clinical research experience, preferably in Multicentre RCTs or ICMR projects. Proficiency in trial coordination, IEC/regulatory documentation, GCP, statistical software, and scientific writing.
- Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as per prevailing ICMR and Institute rules.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
