Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Eligibility is evaluated separately for general discipline posts and super-specialty discipline posts. All qualifications, age, and experience are counted as on the closing date of application. General Discipline — Medical Candidates
- A medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule, or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates with Part II qualifications must also fulfil the condition specified in Section 13(3) of the Act).
- A postgraduate qualification — MD/MS or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto — in the respective discipline or subject.
- Experience: Three (3) years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognised institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS or equivalent.
Super-Specialty Disciplines
- The same medical qualification and postgraduate qualification as stated above for general discipline.
- D.M. in the respective discipline for medical super-specialties, or M.Ch. in the respective discipline for surgical super-specialties (2-year, 3-year or 5-year recognised course), or a qualification recognised as equivalent.
- Experience: One (1) year of teaching and/or research experience in a recognised institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M./M.Ch. (2-year or 5-year recognised course after MBBS). No experience is required for candidates possessing the 3-year recognised degree of D.M./M.Ch. or qualification recognised as equivalent.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: Not exceeding 50 (Fifty) years as on the date of interview.

Category Certificate Requirements
- OBC: Valid caste certificate in the format prescribed by DoPT vide O.M. No. 36036/2/2013-Estt. (Res.) dated 30.05.2014, further clarified vide DoPT OM No. 36011/1/12-Estt. (Res.) dated 14.03.2016. The non-creamy layer certificate must be valid for the Financial Year 2026-2027 (income up to FY ending 31.03.2026), issued on or after 01.04.2026. - PwBD: Eligible under Section 32(1) of the Rights of Persons with Disability Act, 2016, with benchmark disability (equal to or more than 40%). A Disability Certificate from a Competent Authority in the prescribed format is required.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

Important Terms & Conditions
- The vacancies are provisional and subject to variation. The Executive Director, AIIMS Bhopal may vary vacancies, add or delete departments, or cancel the advertisement at any time without prior notice.
- The employment is purely on a contractual basis for 1 year or until regular appointment on the vacant post, whichever is earlier. The post is NOT linked to regular appointment and cannot be regularised at any stage.

If this period is not completed for any reason, the candidate is liable to pay Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) as penalty, and must execute a Service Bond on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper, attested by a Notary Public, at the time of joining.
- The appointee will be on the whole-time appointment of AIIMS Bhopal and must not accept any other assignment, paid or otherwise. Private practice of any type is prohibited.
- The appointee will not be entitled to benefits such as Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance, Seniority, Promotion or other benefits available to regularly appointed Government servants.
