Eligibility for Boiler Inspector

• Essential Qualification: A degree in Mechanical or Production or Power Plant or Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent. Knowledge of reading and writing Hindi in Devnagari script is essential.
• Experience: Two years experience as a technical personnel in the design, construction, erection, operation, testing, repair, maintenance or inspection of boilers or in the implementation of the Boilers Act, 1923 and rules and regulations framed thereunder.

• Age Limit (as on 01-08-2025):
  Minimum Age: 21 years
  Maximum Age: 37 years (Unreserved Male), 40 years (Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class (Male & Female) & Unreserved Female), 42 years (Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (Male & Female))

• Examination Fee: 100/- (one hundred rupees)
• Bank Charges: As determined by the bank
• Biometric Fee (if Aadhaar not entered): 200/- (two hundred rupees)

Selection Process

Selection is based on interview (100 marks) and educational qualification (100 marks). Educational marks distribution: Matric - 10, Intermediate/+2 - 20, Graduation - 60, Postgraduate - 10. If applications exceed, shortlisting will be based on the average percentage from Matric to required qualification, calling 5 times vacancies for interview. Document verification is required before the interview. A medical examination is required after the interview, fee 16 rupees. Tie-breaker: Age, then alphabetical order in Devnagari script.
