CEPT University invites applications for the following positions:

1. Position:

• Assistant Professor 
• Academic Associate

2. Assistant Professor: Roles and responsibilities:

• Conducting writing workshops.
• Providing detailed written and oral feedback on professional communication for design students.
• Developing course curriculum and pedagogy for professional communication required by design students.
• Adapting curriculum, teaching and learning materials to the requirements of students from different institutions with which the program collaborates.
• Conducting faculty development and capacity building workshops
• Coordinating with faculty internally and across institutions and facilitating planning and conducting professional communication workshops for design (including architecture, urban
• planning and design, interior and product design, construction technology etc) students.

3. Academic Qualification:

• Minimum Post-Graduation Degree in (English Language/ English Literature/ Cultural Studies/ Social Sciences).
• Minimum 8 years of experience working on research/ consultancy/ teaching in areas related to writing, editing, research, including post-graduate education. Out of which min. 1 year should be on curriculum development.

4. Expertise Required:

• Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
• Must have an ability to anticipate teaching and learning related requirements and take the initiative in addressing them.
• Should have strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Should have knowledge of MS office, Google Classroom, Google Drive, editing using Google Documents.
• Prior experience of conducting capacity building with tutors on professional writing and coordinating teaching team processes is preferred.

B. Academic Associate: Roles and responsibilities:

• Conduct writing workshops.
• Provide detailed written and oral feedback on professional communication for design students.
• Development of course curriculum and pedagogy for professional communication required by design students, specifically focusing on requirements of students from vernacular mediums of instruction.
• Work in a team adapting learning materials for requirements of design students from other institutions.
• Coordinate with faculty internally and across institutions and facilitate planning and conducting professional communication workshops for design (including architecture, urban planning and design, interior and product design, construction technology etc) students.
• Anchor the process of documentation, analysis and compilation of student outcomes of the writing workshops.
• Work in a team identifying the requirements and building teaching and learning materials for design students at various levels in their higher education.

5. Academic Qualification:

• Minimum Post-Graduation Degree in (English Language/ English Literature/ Cultural Studies/ Social Sciences).
• Minimum 5 years of experience working on research/ consultancy/ teaching or in teaching supporting roles in areas related to writing, editing, research, including post-graduate education. Out of which min. 1 year should be in teaching or teaching supporting roles (TA / AA).

6. Expertise Required:

• Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
• Must have an ability to anticipate teaching and learning related requirements and take the initiative in addressing them.
• Should have strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Should have knowledge of MS Office, Google Classroom, Google Drive, editing using Google Documents.
• Working communication in Gujarati is preferred.
• Prior experience of working with a team on teaching and learning material development for professional writing is preferred.
• Prior experience in teaching and developing teaching materials for students from vernacular mediums of instruction will be an advantage.
