Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Officer Eligibility for Deputation

Officers under the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territory Administrations, Public Sector Undertakings, recognized Universities, recognized Research Institutions, Semi-Government bodies, Autonomous Bodies, or Statutory Organizations are eligible to apply:

  • Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
  • With five years of service in the grade rendered after regular appointment to posts in Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15,600 – Rs. 39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,600 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

Educational Qualification

  • Essential: (i) Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute; and (ii) Ten years of experience in Electrical Engineering in the Government Sector.
  • Desirable: Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
  • AMIE Provision: Candidates holding a Degree of Associate Member of Engineers in Electrical Engineering (AMIE) from a recognized University/Institute who were enrolled for AMIE up to 31 May 2013 are also eligible for consideration for deputation (Short Term Contract).

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications (24 November 2026).

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection process involves the assessment of Curriculum Vitae and supporting documents by the Selection Committee. There is no written examination or interview schedule publicly announced at this stage.
