Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Applicants must be native residents of Chhattisgarh. The minimum age is 21 years and the maximum is 35 years as on 01 January 2026. A relaxed upper age limit of 45 years applies to regular government servants, corporation/board/contract employees, and municipal soldiers as per GAD memo dated 16.09.2026.
- Assistant Programmer: MCA (Computer Science / IT) or M.Sc. (Computer Science / IT) from a recognized university; OR B.Sc. (Computer Science / IT) or B.E. / B.Tech. or equivalent degree.
- Programme Officer: First Class M.A. or B.E. or MRTM (Master of Rural Technology and Management) or Post Graduate in Mathematics / Physics from a recognized university.
- Computer Programmer: First Class B.E. in Computer Science or MCA or M.Sc. (Computer Science) or B.E. (IT). Knowledge of .NET Technology / Java / MS.SQL / Oracle is preferred.
- Accountant: B.Com. with minimum qualifying marks (55% for SC/ST; 50% for second-class pass from Bastr and Surguja divisions), weighted out of 100 marks including Higher Secondary marks.
Selection Process & Merit Criteria
Selection is based on a merit list prepared from academic qualifications and relevant experience, followed by a computer skill test / practical examination. Final selection is based on combined weightage scores.
- Assistant Programmer: Educational qualification marks – 45%; Computer practical test – 40% (minimum 60% required); Work experience in government rural development schemes – up to 15 marks.
- Programme Officer: Educational qualification marks – 70%; Computer practical test – 15%; Work experience – up to 15 marks.
- Computer Programmer: Educational qualification marks – 70%; Computer practical test – 15%; .NET/Java/MS.SQL/Oracle knowledge – 5%; Experience – up to 10 marks.
- Accountant: Higher Secondary marks – 20%; B.Com. qualification marks – 50%; Computer practical test – 15%; Work experience – up to 15 marks.
