Defence Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DGRE) is the only establishment of its kind in DRDO to provide cutting edge terrain intelligent solutions to the Armed Forces. DGRE has its headquarters at Chandigarh and is a new establishment formed with the merger of two premier DRDO labs viz. Snow & Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE) Chandigarh and Defence Terrain Research Laboratory (DTRL) Delhi. DGRE K is under the administrative control of the Armament & Combat Engineering Cluster of DRDO and has been raised on 15 Nov 2020.
