Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
All posts are offered on deputation including short-term contract. Applicants must hold a regular post in the Central or State Government, a Union Territory administration, a recognised research institute, an autonomous or statutory body, or a PSU. Officers working in private organisations, on contract, retired, or unemployed are not eligible. The maximum age is 56 years on the closing date of the applicable phase. Indian nationals only.
Environmental Engineering Posts
- Senior Environmental Engineer (Level 12, 8 posts): Analogous post or five years' regular service in Level 11; Master's degree in engineering in a related field (Civil, Environment, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Biomedical, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS or Hydrology) with ten years' experience in pollution control or a related field after the Master's.
- Environmental Engineer (Level 11, 15 posts): Analogous post or five years' regular service in Level 10; Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field with eight years' pollution control experience after the degree, OR Master's degree in a related engineering field with six years' experience after the Master's.
- Assistant Environmental Engineer (Level 10, 15 posts): Analogous post in Level 10 on a regular basis; degree in a related engineering field with two years' experience in pollution control, OR Master's degree in engineering.

Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Candidates whose applications are received within a phase are shortlisted based on service and qualification conditions; DPCC calls eligible candidates for interview.
- No written test or screening examination is prescribed in the circular.
- Advance-copy applicants must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their cadre-controlling authority to appear for the interview, along with an undertaking to submit all requisite documents before joining.
