1. Name of the post: Research Associate (Trainee)

2. Experience: 0 - 3 years

3. Qualification: 

a) M.Sc./M.Tech Degree in Atmospheric/ Earth/ Climate Sciences/ Oceanography/ hydrology/ Environmental Science or closely related discipline with core subjects of Mathematics or Physics.

b) 0-3 years of relevant work experience in a developing world context

c) Exceptional research and writing skills

d) Prior knowledge of fundamentals of climate change science, Earth & atmospheric sciences, weather and climate modelling, impact modelling and visualisation techniques.

e) Working knowledge of scientific analytical tools like Python, R, Matlab, Stata etc.

f) Working knowledge of analysis and visualisation tools like, Ferret, GrADS, NCL, CDO, etc.

g) Prior knowledge on atmospheric dynamics and interactions would be an added advantage.

h) Should have exceptional programming skills with Python, R, MatLab

i) Expertise on Linux as an operating system.

j) Exceptional communication skills, including written and oral are essential

k) Express complex problems with brevity and preciseness and ability to articulate intertwined ideas cogently, both verbally and in writing

l) An analytical and creative mind who can come up with innovative solutions to tackle complex problems

m) Fluency in English, and atleast one regional language

4. Skills Responsibilities: The Project Associate-s main areas of responsibility will include the following: Research & Knowledge: - Carry-out research on climate change science and impact modelling with links to adaptation and resilience through a policy lens.

5. Location: Delhi

6. Salary: Rs. 30000-40000
