2. Pay Scale: Rs. 180000-340000 (IDA)

3. Job Description And Responsibilities: 

i. The Director (Technical) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to Chairman-cumManaging Director. He/She is responsible for functioning of all Technology & Engineering Divisions involved in Design and Engineering activities covering Process Design, Heat & Mass

ii. Transfer Design, detailed engineering of Equipment, Piping, Structural, Electrical & Instrumentation as well as speciality areas like Environment/ Water/ Safety, Information Technology and Research and Development.

iii. He/She is also responsible for identifying process technologies, which could be of interest to EIL in future, and plan & coordinate research, design and development activities in those fields as well as collaboration where necessary.

iv. He/She is required to provide overall guidance, support and constant upgradation of the technical skills of the employees to match the needs of the time and keeping abreast of latest developments.

v. He/She is also required to maintain a close liaison with concerned Ministries, Government Institutions, Clients, Vendors, Contractors and Indian Embassies abroad.

4. Qualification: The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate with good academic record from a recognized university/institution. Applicant with degree in Chemical engineering will have an added advantage.

5. Experience:

The applicant should have adequate Technical/Operational/Project Management experience, out of which atleast five years during the last ten years should have been in a major Consultancy /Petroleum/ Petrochemical organization.

6. Duration Of Appointment: The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or upto the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
