About Goa Housing Board

The Goa Housing Board is an autonomous body which was constituted under Goa, Daman & Diu Housing Board Act, 1968 and started functioning from the year 1969.

The objective of the Board is to provide Residential house sites & housing facilities to the Goan population at reasonable price. The Goa Housing Board also takes up Commercial Schemes and allots land for Institutions, Commercial etc.

The Goa Construction, Housing & Finance Corporation Ltd. Government Company established under the Companies Act, 1956 and functioning as per the Memorandum and Articles of Association, was wound up and the assets and liabilities were transferred to Goa Housing Board, vide order No. 2/45/2001-HSG/19 dated 5/2/02.

The Goa Housing Board is the only State Government Autonomous body to cater the housing needs of the State specially Lower Income group.
