Educational Qualification:
Mamlatdar/Jt. Mamlatdar/Vigilance Officer: (i) Degree in Law from a recognised University. (ii) Knowledge of local revenue laws, laws governing maintenance of law and order, planning and development works. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Block Development Officer: (i) Degree in any branch from a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Degree in Sociology/Social Work from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.
Principal: (i) Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree of appropriate branch in Engineering/Technology with First Class or equivalent either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level and Ph. D. or equivalent, in appropriate discipline in Engineering/Technology. OR Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree of appropriate branch in Engineering/Technology with First Class or equivalent either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level. (ii) Minimum ten years relevant experience in Teaching/Research/Industry out of which at least three years shall be at the level of Head of Department or equivalent.
Planning Officer: (i) Master’s Degree in Economics of a recognized University. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Assistant Professor: (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). (ii) Post graduate degree or equivalent qualification in the speciality concerned from a National Medical Commission (then Medical Council of India) recognized medical college/institution. (iii) At least one year teaching or research experience in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution in the subject of super-speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.).
Lecturer: (i) A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in Section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-graduate medical qualification in the speciality concerned or equivalent. (iii) At least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Senior Resident/Registrar/Tutor/Demonstrator in a Medical College/Teaching Institution. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.

The Goa Public Service Commission is a body created by the Constitution of India. The Commission advises the Government on all matters relating to State Civil Services referred to it under Article 320 (3) of the Constitution.
The requisitions from the Government are received in the form of proposals indicating number of vacancies in a particular post in a department or cadre and the mode of filling up the vacancies. The mode of filling up the posts is either by direct recruitment inviting applications from the open market or by way of promotion from lower grades which are called feeder grades. The recruitment is strictly governed and guided by Recruitment Rules framed by the Government under Article 309 of the Constitution under the advice from the Commission. In case of direct recruitment the Commission publishes advertisement, notifies the number of vacancies with requirements of essential qualifications and experience as per the Recruitment Rules.
